Welcome to 3D Print Recycling. We’re dedicated to giving you the very best in recycled PLA, with a focus on the environment, high-quality products, and low prices for recycled filament. We offer other services in addition to recycled products including custom 3D prints printed in high-quality PLA and custom STL files created using photogrammetry.
When we started in May of 2022 our passion for 3D printing drove us to create recycled filament in order to reduce waste from the growing 3D printing community. We realized that our own prints resulted in a good amount of waste from brims, rafts, supports, and not to mention failed prints. A small pile of waste quickly turned into a small box and then into a full 5-gallon bucket. This served as the inspiration to create this business aiming to reduce the amount of waste we produced. Our goal is to reach customers all over the world!
Our innovative process uses several steps to recycle filament. The first step is we grind the filament into fine pieces. Secondly, they are cleaned and then heated to remove any moisture. Finally, we use a Noztek Touch to extrude the ground-up PLA as a filament that is usable again. This will keep waste out of landfills resulting in a cleaner healthier environment.
We also hope to introduce in the near future a recycling program for our loyal customers. However, the details for this program are still in the works but a general overview of the program is as follows. Customers send in their unwanted PLA filament and in exchange, they will receive a discount on their next purchase. We hope to have this program up and running in the near future!
